Prekindergarten News...April
Dear Parents,
Spring has sprung! The flowers are blooming and so are your wonderful children. Thus far, the children have studied the letters Aa – Uu. They’ve made several projects for each letter to reinforce their skills. Please ask your child about the projects they have made and words that begin with the letters we have covered so far. I’m sure if you ask your child about one of the letters we have studied, they could sing you an entertaining song. In addition to learning letters, the children practiced counting skills and number recognition by making seasonal counting books and counting charts. Other daily activities are cuttings, colorings, fine motor skills and computer lessons.
In Enrichment, the children made a sink and float chart, a matching book (things that go together) and some beautiful shamrocks. They worked hard and are very proud of their finished products.
Special Reminders:
· April 14th and April 15th …school closed for conferences
· Please return money and/or pictures as soon as possible
· The safest shoe for your child to wear to school is a tennis shoe. Sandals are cute but difficult for the children on the playground.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.
Have a great weekend!!
